Ahead of India’s crucial Super 8 match against Zimbabwe in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, Rohit Sharma shared a light moment by taking part in Kevin Pietersen’s switch hit challenge. The former Team India captain won the challenge against Pietersen and the video went viral on social media platforms.

India are set to take on Zimbabwe in an important Super 8 match on Thursday, February 26. To remain in the race for the semi-finals, the team will have to win its next two Super 8 matches. They are the defending champions of the T20 World Cup 2026. The team had won the title in the last edition in 2024 under the captaincy of Rohit.

The challenge between Rohit Sharma and Kevin Pietersen was divided into three levels: easy, intermediate and impossible. Both players scored points by hitting designated targets and the winner was the one who reached 250 points in the fewest balls.

Pietersen was the first to reach 250 points in the final round. He needed three balls and completed the challenge with an inside-out shot. At that time Rohit had 210 points and only two balls were left to overtake him.

Rohit missed the target in his first attempt, leaving him just one chance to win. On the final ball, he hit a powerful inside-out shot which hit the target and crossed the 250-mark, sealing the win. After the challenge, both players laughed, shook hands and shared light moments.
